Zine 2022
What to call a thing? My Nana would forget my name and just call me “doings” sometimes (pronounced doo-ings). I think it was a real word where she was from. The concept in this particular thing is loose at best, so tricky to extract a name from that. There is actually some thought behind it though - an idea that each spread is a pair of pictures with some connection in my brain. And I am currently favouring a crunchy, graphical style so maybe the connection is blasting things together and apart.
Blasting pixels, blasting two images together. Colliding it all in a zine (my first one ever by the way, for no good reason).
I took on a challenge this year to share more. So I’m also blasting away some psych-blockers.
What do you get when you blast all those things?…
I made this to make new friends. I figure if I create something, share it and ask for feedback then maybe the next thing will be better. And we can start a conversation. And I can make new friends.
